Barn/Herd Manager

The Barn/Herd Manager & Riding Instructor (preferrable Therapeutic) works with the Executive Director and the guidance of the Board of Directors adhering to policies and procedures and making recommendations for modifications or additions to optimize the functions at GaitWay.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

Manage day to day functions of barn, horses and facilities. 

Supervision of Farm Labor including interview, hire, schedule for barn shifts, assign duties, approve time cards, and evaluate performances.

Address and manage all Farm Labor personnel issues, including counseling and discussing dismissals of employees with ED.

Coordinate with the E.D. to manage the groundskeeping, facility maintenance and all repairs. 

Assist staff to ensure the safety of riders, guests, visitors, volunteers, and horses through regular assessment of the facility and equipment.  Ensure that unsafe situations are reported immediately and rectified.

Ensure proper maintenance of equipment

Responsible for maintaining social media platforms.
