Our Mission

GaitWay empowers children and adults with disabilities to move beyond their boundaries through the healing power of the horse.

GaitWay’s mission is to improve the health and abilities of the special needs community in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas through the healing power of the horse. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, we heavily rely on volunteers, donors, and sponsors in every aspect of our program. From horse care and barn maintenance to providing scholarships and assisting students in their lessons, our dedicated volunteers and generous donors are vital to keeping the program running and fulfilling our mission.
